NAIDOC week occurs annually in July to celebrate the history, culture and achievement of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples of our nation. It is not only celebrated by First Nation communities, but by all Australians.
This year to celebrate such an important occasion City of Parramatta Libraries will be hosting the renowned Dr Terri Janke to talk on Indigenous Cultural and Intellectual Property and how it relates to story telling and the publishing of Dreamtime stories.
We invite you to join us for this occasion to celebrate and learn with Dr Janke. The author talk will be followed by a book signing, with Dr Janke’s book True Tracks: Working with Indigenous Knowledge and Culture available to purchase on the night.
