Parks of Parramatta

City of Parramatta has over 350 beautiful and diverse parks and reserves for residents, visitors and workers to enjoy.

These open spaces offer a variety of opportunities for active and passive recreational activities for all ages. Many of our parks include barbecues, picnic facilities, playgrounds, water play, dog off-leash areas and outdoor exercise equipment. 

 

 

Park Upgrades

Our Parks and Open Space team are committed to delivering world-class facilities for the community. A number of parks and reserves have been upgraded with new facilities, repairs, additional parking and amenities. There is also many more that are listed for future upgrades.

Temporary Vehicle Access

Council may permit temporary vehicle access through parks and reserves for non-recreational purposes for works within or associated with adjoining properties. All temporary vehicle access within parks and reserves is subject to Council approval, with all requests subject to individual assessment.

Park Committees and Community Gardens

City of Parramatta encourages community participation in the development and management of our parks and reserves through our voluntary park and reserve committees. We currently have about 10 committees appointed by the City of Parramatta to assist in the care, maintenance, management and development of parks and reserves in accordance with the provisions of Sections 355 and 377 of the Local Government Act 1993.
