Over 55s Leisure and Learning Service

Council’s Over 55s Leisure and Learning Service provides an extensive range of educational, physical, recreational and social activities, to help keep you connected, healthy and moving.

It is available for people aged over 55, or over 50 for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Activities are run on a term-based model with bookings and payments being made prior to the beginning of each term.

Participants are required to fill in a registration form so they can attend any of the activities offered at various locations.

Types of activities include, but are not limited to:

  • term based
  • free social activities
  • walking groups

Fees are reviewed annually in Council’s  schedule of fees and charges (section 17.3) and are based on your Pension and Commonwealth Health Care Card status.
