Tenders

Tenders

The Local Government Act 1993 and the Local Government (General) Regulation 2021 regulate our procurement processes. A public tender is required for purchases exceeding $250,000 (including GST).

All tenders are advertised on TenderLink, where you can:

  • Register to receive notifications for relevant tenders, quotations, and expressions of interest.
  • View and receive tender documentation.
  • Request clarifications or additional information.
  • Access addendums and updates on current tenders.
  • Submit tender responses electronically through the TenderLink system, saving time and costs compared to manual submission.

TenderLink streamlines the tender process, ensuring efficiency, transparency, and an audit trail.

Responding to a Tender

To apply for a Council Tender, follow these steps:

1. Register with TenderLink
Register as a supplier on TenderLink to receive email notifications of new tenders.

2. Review the Tender Documentation
Access and download the tender document from the TenderLink portal. Review it carefully, ensuring you understand all conditions, contract requirements, and specifications.

3. Assess Suitability for the Project
Ensure you meet all the tender requirements. If you’re unsure about the proposed contract, consult with the contact listed in the tender advertisement or seek legal advice.

4. Apply for an Australian Business Number (ABN)
To be eligible to submit a tender, you must have an ABN. Apply for one through the Australian Business Register.

5. Complete Your Tender Submission
Fill out all required fields in the tender document, addressing every criterion. Ensure you provide the necessary supporting documents and meet all mandatory requirements. Failure to do so may result in your tender being deemed non-conforming.

6. Lodge Your Tender
Submit your tender electronically via TenderLink by the specified closing time. Late submissions will not be considered, except under specific circumstances outlined in the Local Government Act.
