Lunar New Year is an occasion that is celebrated across borders, faiths and generations. In Vietnam, it extends beyond a day's festivities, offering everyone an opportunity to reset and connect with community.
In preparation for the year of the Snake, the Western Terrace will become an extension of a Vietnamese household in the days following Tết celebrations — vibrant, joyful and slow — to nourish and temper both your spirit and belly.
Curated by Emma Cao and featuring a feast by Feral 4 Eats, tea tasting hosted by Tea Craft, crafts made in collaboration with Emma Pham and special performances. Come and celebrate Lunar New Year with us on the Western Terrace.
Registration: Spaces are limited with some seats and standing room. Registration is essential. As this is an outdoor venue, please dress accordingly. For access requirements please contact PHIVEtickets@cityofparramatta.nsw.gov.au
The Western Terrace is a series of creative gatherings, performances and workshops taking place underneath the golden hour, as the sun sets, facing West, thinking West. Imagining the Western Terrace as an extension of their own homes, gardens and balconies, the series features artists, authors, filmmakers, musicians and community sharing domestic ritual collectively.
