Powerhouse Creative Studio: Sustainable Fashion

Explore storytelling through sustainable fashion and pattern design with internationally acclaimed fashion designer Hupfeld Hoerder in this 3-day workshop.

Inspired by patterns featured in the Powerhouse Collection, Hupfeld will take students through the ideation, design and production processes. Students will have the opportunity to digitally conceptualise patterns and design garments that speak to their interests and identities.

Artist

Hupfeld Hoerder is an internationally acclaimed fashion designer whose desire to make a difference is going far beyond the beautiful garments he creates. Born and raised in Fiji, the self-taught designer has worked in the fashion industry for over 25 years. He recently returned to Sydney to commence a Doctor of Creative Arts (DCA) at Western Sydney University’s Institute for Culture and Society, exploring sustainable solutions to help future-proof the Fijian fashion industry.
