Dive under the bonnet in this hands-on workshop empowering young people with the knowledge and confidence to tackle everyday car maintenance needs.
- Learn what to check to keep the engine running smoothly
- Explore how an engine works and what needs maintenance
- Particpants will have the chance to check the oil, coolant, fluids, battery and hoses
- Learn how to change a tyre from start to finish! Check the tyre condition, learn how to determine if the tyre can be repaired and what tools are needed
- Every participant receives the Galmatic Glovebox Guide Phone download, including a recap of the workshop and a step=by-step guide on how to change a tyre and the '10 minute Servo Check' how-to checklist

- This workshop is suitable for young people aged 16 - 24 years - Council reserves the right to remove any bookings that are made outside of this age group
- Young People aged 16 & 17 require parental permission to attend
- This workshop is FREE however registrations are essential and places are limited.
- This is a hands on workshop, please be prepared to stand for the duration of the program and wear comfortable clothing, closed shoes and be prepared to get your hands dirty.
- Please arrive 10 minutes before the start time to allow for registration. Meeting place is the Customer Service desk in the ground floor foyer. Participants who arrive more than 10 minutes after the start time may have their place forfeited.
- The workshop will be held in the underground basement carpark at PHIVE
- If you can no longer attend, please cancel your ticket or contact PHIVEtickets@cityofparramatta.nsw.gov.au for assistance - Continuous "No shows" may lose their spaces in other programs booked
