Come, come join us to make and hangout for an afternoon led by Lifepatch & Gudskul
Learn how to make témpé or témpéh - a traditional Indonesian food from fermented soybeans. This sharing session of "making témpé together" will be using types of beans easily found in Western Sydney’s local Asian grocery stores. There will also be a free instructional zine made by Lifepatch to take with you to continue your fermentation processes at home!
This informal workshop is also an opportunity to introduce local artists and community to the practices of slow collective and collaborative making. The fermentation process will be hands on as well as a starting point for conversations around the process of making, waiting and chance.
You are also invited to Nongkrong (hangout) and participate in collective games run by Gudskul!
All Lumbung in Western Sydney collectives will be there to celebrate Lumbung values in the community. You are welcome to hangout for as long or as little as you like.
We will share some tempeh, snacks, coffee, tea, conversations and hangout!
