A fun way to stimulate the brain an improve coordination as you learn new dance routines.

It is a great social activity - no partners required!

Novice Description

This classification refers to a line dance routine that is choreographed to suit those who have had absolutely no previous dance experience.

The class will cover basics and provide detailed step by step support. The goals/outcomes will be simple and achievable, in a slower paced environment.

Dates: Every Tuesday from 23 July - 24 September 2024

Time: 1:30pm - 3:00pm

Location: PHIVE, 5 Parramatta Square - Active Wellness Studios (please note: room is subject to change -refer to electronic noticeboards)

Tutor: Robert Fletcher

Fees: $73.50 - $128.70

What to bring: water and towel.

Important Information:

  • Spaces are limited due to room size capacities. Council employ a “first in best dressed policy”
  • Bookings made via Bookable and over the phone payments are limited to 1 ticket per customer.
  • Pension cards and Health Care cards are to be produced at time of booking for discounted rate to be applied.
  • New participants registering with a pension and health care card will need to submit a copy of their concession card to the community care email at communitycareadmin@cityofparramatta.nsw.gov.au
  • Registrations are essential prior to commencement.
  • It is the responsibility of the participant to communicate all medical issues and injuries with the facilitator prior to facilitation.
  • Bookable does not have the capability to move from activity to another, so please ensure you book for the correct activity.
  • It is suggested that you seek medical clearance from your health care professional. Participation is done so at your own risk.
  • Participants do so at their own risk and will be required to complete a pre-activity screening questionnaire.

Can I pay as I go or enrol in casual sessions?

No, attendance must be purchased as a term based package.

Can I claim against my health insurance?

Programs are delivered by industry qualified professionals; however, the individual terms and conditions of your health insurance provider apply. Please contact your provider for information on what you are covered for and how to claim.

What is the refund policy?

Attendee Cancellations: City of Parramatta Council cannot accept responsibility for changes to attendees personal circumstances that prevent attendance. Fees are non-refundable and there are no transfers or refunds if you miss a class. Subject to approval, refunds may be provided for medical reasons or instances of severe hardship and unforeseen circumstance.

Program Cancellations: The Community Care Team make every effort to ensure advertised events and classes run. However, we reserve the right to alter the program either before or during the class/event and to cancel any program if insufficient enrolments are received. If the Community Care Over 55s Leisure and Learning Services Team cancels a course, you will be informed and a refund or alternative solution will be provided.
