Introduction to Basket Weaving for Adults with Tarni Eastwood

Connect with culture and community, weave with Ngiyampaa and Guringai artist Tarni Eastwood as she passes down her knowledge on traditional and contemporary Aboriginal weaving techniques using hand-dyed raffia from Nula Weaving. In this workshop participants will be guided on how to weave their own basket to then take home. 

Best suited for ages 18+ years. 

No previous experience needed

Location: Level 3, Makers Space

The workshop is free however registrations are essential.

About Tarni:

Tarni Eastwood is a Ngiyampaa and Guringai multidisciplinary artist, curator and owner of Nula Weaving based on Dharug Land. Tarni actively facilitates weaving workshops with community to contribute to the ongoing revitalisation of traditional cultural practices whilst providing a safe space to pass down creative knowledge.
