PHIVE School Holidays: Apprentice Archaeologists

Children drawing

Become an Apprentice Archaeologist for a day!

Archaeology offers a fascinating glimpse into the past; it's not just about Egyptian Mummies and Terracotta Soldiers, and certainly not dinosaurs! Archaeology has helped to reveal many fascinating stories from Parramatta's past and offers us a window into the real lives of real people who have shaped Parramatta today.

Come along for an opportunity to become an Apprentice Archaeologist. You will visit a real archaeolgical site in Parrmatta's CBD, and particpate in activites at PHIVE using real artefacts uncovered thoughout Parramatta. Learn how to study and record artefacts with our Cultural Collections Officer, and practice your enquiry skills to discover the many stories these objects can tell.
