The Review of Local, Neighbourhood, Village and Town Centres (Centres Review) is a holistic process to measure the ‘health’ of each centre and is use to produce an integrated neighbourhood program of projects that is run every two years by Council.
The 2023 review considered 56 different town centres, urban villages, local and neighbourhood centres across the Parramatta Local Government Area (LGA).
Each area is assessed on a number of different criteria including recent capital investment, business activities, public domain asset condition, public accessibility, land zoning, demographics and a community voice survey. Also considered are community consultation results, customer experience.
This information is constantly updated and is useful for providing a snapshot at a particular point in time of the Better Neighbourhood Program (BNP) across Parramatta.
