Our Local heritage fund provides small grants to owners of heritage items and properties in conservation areas for work that will improve the heritage value of a property.
This may include maintenance work or reinstatement of missing original features such as fences, verandas and decorative details.
Grant application approval is subject to availability of funding and the eligibility and priority of applications.
Fund limits are to 25% of the value of the work, up to a maximum of $5,000.
Discretionary payments up to $10,000, at a ratio of 50% may be made where work is necessary to prevent serious or irreparable damage or deterioration to a heritage property.
Applications are processed and reported in three meetings a year with the Heritage Advisory Committee.
