Council is working with the community on an exciting new project - a new community centre in the Carter Street Precinct.
The community centre will be located at street-level in the Meriton development at 4-8 Uhrig Street, Lidcombe.
The centre will be owned and operated by Council providing space for social and recreational programs for all ages.
The draft concept plan can be found on Participate Parramatta.
The survey closed on Wednesday 5 July 2023.
The next step will be to share your feedback with the architects designing the fitout. A refined plan will then be shown to the community prior to fitout and the centre is expected to be open in 2025.
In a newly planned precinct, with a growing population, this centre will be one of the most important pieces of infrastructure for this high-density community.
