Transport for NSW will carry out pedestrian safety improvement work on Macquarie Street, Parramatta between Wednesday 27 September and Thursday 19 October 2023 requiring pedestrians to use detours.
The work will involve installing new kerb ramps on the pedestrian crossing in front of the Parramatta Square parking garage on Macquarie Street, Parramatta.
While work continues, pedestrians will need to detour around the work zone using Hough Lane, Smith Street and the opposite side of Macquarie Street.
There will also be temporary traffic changes to make sure the work zone is safe. Lane closures will be in place and may affect travel times.
