City of Parramatta's Heritage & Visitor Information Centre staff provide a comprehensive introduction to our City – a destination with a vibrant and innovative culture and heritage.

Staff offer a wealth of information to help you to plan your visit in and around the City of Parramatta, guided tours, school holiday programs and education activities; as well as access to research resources specialising in local studies and family history, Council and community archives and cultural collections relating to Parramatta's Local Government Area.


Archives

The centre holds archives dating back to 1860, access to library books, pamphlets and journals relating to the development of the Parramatta Local Government Area, plus primary resources relating to Parramatta and Western Sydney.

Services

Our services include:

  • Visitor information on all things to see and do in the City of Parramatta
  • Heritage Collections Online including archives and a searchable database of our cultural collections
  • Research Services including archival and cultural collection information, and the Research Library resources specialising in local studies and family history on Parramatta's history and heritage.
