The purpose of the signs is to reinforce the existing road rules. The street is only 9.5m wide with centre lines marked at an offset to allow for parking on one side of the road only whilst maintaining two continuous travel lanes. Motorists have been parking within the narrow travel lane and within 3m of the continuous centre lines contrary to the Road Rules.
It is anticipated that the signs will be installed early February 2024.
