"The Women behind the Governors, 1788-1855" Talk

Hambledon Cottage

Talk about the famous and sometimes forgotten 17 women - the wives, daughters, nieces, cousins and mistresses associated with the first 10 Governors of the Colony.
Not all of them came to Australia but most who did, lived in Parramatta, some only visiting for a short period while others are here permanently.
The talk shines a spotlight on these women to appreciate their assistance to the Governor & colony.
