Landscape Concept Plan, Carlingford
City of Parramatta Council has recently approved a project that will see the development of a landscape concept plan which seeks to transform the open space area connecting Shirley Street Reserve, Thallon Street East Reserve, Thallon Street West Reserve and Lloyds Avenue Reserve in Carlingford.
The development of a landscape concept plan will ensure that these sites function together as a network of complementary recreational spaces for the precinct and gives the community the opportunity to consult on the border scale of the recreational spaces.
The scope of this project will involve undertaking a site analysis and determining the most appropriate design solutions to maximise the community benefit of the reserve system. The project will also plan for a consolidated path network that improves access for the community and maximises the open space.
This project also provides the opportunity to deliver community benefits by responding to a gap in leisure and recreation spaces as required to service the surrounding high density residential community.
The development of the landscape concept plan will take approximately 12 months to complete, with consultation with the community aimed to commence in late Winter / Spring 2024.
