City of Parramatta’s Get into Nature Program aims to encourage and educate local residents and visitors on issues surrounding the natural environment, as well as raise awareness of biodiversity in and around Parramatta. Get Into Nature – Art In Nature Workshop
Where: Fitzgerald Forest, Carlingford 71 Honiton Ave W, Carlingford NSW 2118
When: 10am to 12pm, Saturday 31st of May 2025
Cost: $5.00 bond per person which is refundable upon attendance to the event.
What: Ever wanted to make art out of natural materials? Join our guides for a walkthrough of how to use the world around us to express yourself!

Get Into Nature – Nocturnal Safari at Darling Mills Creek
Where: Darling Mills Creek, Northmead. Meet at the fire trail gate at the end of Ventura Road, Northmead
When: 5:00pm-7:00pm, Saturday, the 14th of June
Cost: $5.00 bond per person which is refundable upon attendance to the event.
What: Experience the magic of the bush after dark on this guided nocturnal bushwalk. Discover a hidden world as we explore the trails by torchlight and see how the forest transforms at night with its own sights, sounds and surprises. With experienced guides leading the way, you’ll learn about native animals, plants, and the unique ecosystem that comes alive after sunset. Perfect for nature lovers, families, and anyone looking to slow down and see the bush in a new light. Don’t forget your torch and sense of adventure.

Get Into Nature – Birdwatchers Bushwalk at Galaringi
Where: Galaringi Reserve, Carlingford. Meet at the gate to Galaringi on Evans Road, Carlingford
When: 8:30am-10:30am, Saturday, the 5th July 2025
Cost: $5.00 bond per person which is refundable upon attendance to the event.
What: Beginner or expert bird watcher? Doesn't matter! Everyone is welcome to come along! This is a great opportunity to learn about the birds that call the City of Parramatta's bushland home and gain some insight into the art of bird-watching.
