City of Parramatta Council’s Bushland Interpretive Program

City of Parramatta’s Get into Nature Program aims to encourage and educate local residents and visitors on issues surrounding the natural environment, as well as raise awareness of biodiversity in and around Parramatta. The Program includes a range of interactive experiences for all ages. Check out our upcoming events and register to attend below.

Get Into Nature – Fantastic Fungi Guided Walk

Where: Balaka Falls, Hunts Creek Reserve (Meet at the entrance to the reserve at the end of Norfolk Place, Carlingford)

When: 10am to 12pm, Saturday 24th of May 2025

Cost: $5.00 bond per person which is refundable upon attendance to the event.

What: Delve into the fascinating world of fungi on this guided walk through local bushland. Taking a closer look at the forest floor you will discover different types of fungi and how to identify them while learning about their vital role in the ecosystem.

Get Into Nature – Guided Bushwalk at Vineyard Creek

 

 


Where: Vineyard Creek Reserve (meet at reserve entrance near 17 Robert Street Telopea

When: 10am to 12pm, Sunday 25 May 2025

Cost: $5.00 bond per person which is refundable upon attendance to the event.

What: Walk amongst the tall trees and ferns of Vineyard Creek and learn about the flora and fauna of this beautiful spot as well as why it is called Vineyard Creek.

This event is for ages 5+

Cost: $5.00 bond per person which is refundable upon attendance to the event.
