Privacy Management Plan

The City of Parramatta (Council) is committed to protection of personal and health information under the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (PPIPA) and Health Records and Information Privacy Act 2002(HRIPA).

To achieve this, Council has developed a Privacy Management Plan that complies with legislative requirements.

What is the Purpose of the Privacy Management Plan?

  • ensures requirements of the PPIPA and HRIPA are met.
  • explains the main personal and health information.
  • explains the relevant functions of Council in meeting PPIPA and HRIPA.
  • explains strategies to comply with requirements of the PPIPA and HRIPA.
  • to allow the community to make complaints or request review if it is felt privacy has been breached.
  • how your personal and health information can be amended.
