Biography
 

First elected to City of Parramatta Council in 2017, Councillor Martin Zaiter was elected Lord Mayor of City of Parramatta in October 2024.

Born and bred in Parramatta, Councillor Zaiter is a Chartered Accountant who has run a small business providing tax, audit and accounting services in Parramatta for the past 15 years. Councillor Zaiter is a lifelong Parramatta Eels fan and a family man, married with three kids. 

Councillor Zaiter is excited to lead the community as it transforms into a global City. Councillor Zaiter is committed to ensuring the CBD and every suburb experiences a world of opportunity. Councillor Zaiter understands the cost of living pressures families are under, so wants to get value for money from the services and projects delivered across every community in the LGA. That’s why Councillor Zaiter continues to advocate for the schools, transport, open spaces and social infrastructure that City of Parramatta’s growing population needs.
