Lord Mayor's regalia

The wearing of Mayoral regalia is a tradition which dates back a number of years, and has been adopted by many Councils throughout Australia.

The City of Parramatta Lord Mayor’s regalia consists of robes, chains of office and a hat, and is worn for Civic events and occasions.  

The Chains of Office are most commonly worn on formal occasions such as council meetings, citizenship ceremonies, Key to the City and Freedom of Entry events, City events and commemorative services.
