ITT 324 - Telemetry Management

ITT 324 - Telemetry Management

ABOUT THE COUNCIL:

The City of Parramatta Council is located 24 kilometres west of the Sydney CBD and provides a range of goods and services within a local government area (LGA) encompassing some 84 square kilometres and comprises a population of approximately 260,296 people from a range of diverse cultures, lifestyles and experiences
ABOUT THE TENDER:  The COP flood telemetry network currently consists of thirty-four gauge sites, primarily water level and/or rain gauges. These feed information via VHF or 4G into a SCADA telemetry system. The telemetry systems form the basis for Council’s ability to manage its response during a flood and to operate their FloodSmart Warning Service.

  • Routine site maintenance (three times per year) – This involves visits to each site and a thorough review of the gauge set up and condition, including communications back to the telemetry system and data quality.
  • GPT Camera maintenance (once per year) – This involves a visit to each location to replace the 12x AA batteries, per site, in the trail cameras and test FTP telemetry to SCADA server.
  • Telemetry support – Support for the SCADA telemetry system, all communications transfer and data quality.
Issues identification and investigation – Gauge errors and system failures can happen at any time, this work will involve identifying the cause of system issues and the solution to get the gauges back up and running. This could involve either remote access or site visits depending upon the issue.
  • Fixing gauges/system issues – Once an issue has been identified a quote for fixing the issue is required.
  • New gauge installations – COP’s gauge network is expanding, and we require new gauge sites to be installed, and embedded within the current systems, including communications routes and telemetry front end set up.
  • In addition - COP has a number of environmental and park asset monitoring sites. We will be considering separately as part of this tender the possibility of including these sites and expansion of the network within the contract.

No pre-tender meeting is proposed, however it is recommended that prospective Tenderers visit the project site to confirm 'scope of work', and if questions arise submit these via the Tenderlink forum or to tenders@cityofparramatta.nsw.gov.au
