Boronia Grove Community Centre Family Fun Day

The Family Fun Day will take place within the Boronia Grove Community Centre and the neighbouring Eastern end of Boronia Park. You can access the Community Centre via the pathway next to the Rawson Street Carpark.

Don’t forget your picnic rug and pending weather, pack your hat, sunscreen, or umbrella. 
City of Parramatta is avoiding single use plastic at the event, so please bring along your bottle and refill at our water refill station.

Free parking is available for the community at the Rawson Street Carpark, located next to the Boronia Grove Community Centre. Alternatively, you may choose to travel to Epping via train or bus, with Epping Station and Bus Interchange just a short 10-minute walk away.

The Boronia Grove Community Centre is accessible to those who are mobility impaired with accessible washrooms and accessible access points on both levels. Boronia Park is accessible from both Victoria Street and Rawson Street Carpark. There is an accessible seating / viewing area in front of the stage. 

There are limited accessible parking spots located in Rawson Street Carpark – please contact Shelley Broadbridge – Senior Events Officer on 0477 706 382 if you wish to reserve an accessible parking spot for your visit.

All workshops, entertainment and activities are free. A community sausage sizzle, coffee, beverages and boomerang bags will be available for purchase onsite.

If you would like to book any of the spaces for use, please make a booking via Council’s Booking Office.

Only our accessible chair-based yoga class is open for pre-registration. For all other workshops, once you arrive onsite, explore the different activities available and pop you name down. All workshops have limited capacity so arrive early to avoid disappointment.

If the weather looks inclement, the event will still go ahead in some capacity so bring an umbrella! If the weather is severe, additional programming will be moved into the Community Centre and the event will run at a limited capacity. 

There will be a community sausage sizzle and a coffee cart onsite. There are also numerous food options available in the Epping town centre just a short 10-minute walk away.

The City of Parramatta continues to manage its events in line with current NSW Health rules and restrictions in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

For your own safety at the event, we encourage you to maintain distance where you can, wear a mask where distance cannot be achieved and maintain good hygiene with thorough and regular handwashing.
