Clean Up Australia Day is the nation’s largest community-based mobilisation event.
Last year, more than 680,000 volunteers across Australia helped to remove 15,000 ute loads of rubbish from our environment.
There has never been a better time to tackle the surge in single-use disposable items, such as takeaway coffee cups, food packaging, masks and sanitised wipes due to Covid; all of which have polluted our local parks, bushland, streets and waterways.
You can clean up a local park, creek or bushland or even around your neighbourhood, every effort counts.
Tips on how to run a clean-up event in a Covid safe manner.
It takes up to 2 weeks for the clean-up kits (including rubbish bags, safety vest, gloves, sharps container and event guide) to be mailed to you, so make sure you register soon to avoid delays.
Register a site to clean up or to join others at an existing site through Clean Up Australia
