Suspensions & Cancellations
Keeping Your Child Confident, Safe & Progressing in the Water
At The PAC, we know how important consistency is in building strong swimming skills. Regular lessons help children develop confidence, maintain water safety awareness, and continue progressing smoothly through their levels.
When you need to pause lessons, suspension is the best way to hold your spot, maintain your program continuity, and ensure an easy return — without losing momentum. Below is everything you need to know about suspensions and cancellations.
Suspensions
The best option when you need a short break.
Suspending your lessons allows you to keep your preferred class time, avoid re enrolling, and ensure your child resumes their learning journey without disruption.
Non Medical Suspensions
- Require 14 days’ (two weeks) notice
- Available for up to 14 days per calendar year
- Must be taken in blocks of 7 days or more
- Cannot be backdated
- Program payments automatically resume once the suspension ends
- Suspensions cannot be processed when fees are outstanding
- Holiday Program enrolments are not eligible for suspension
Medical Suspensions
If your child is unable to swim due to injury or illness:
- A valid medical certificate from a GP or hospital is required
- Certificate must list the specific dates the student cannot participate
- Requests must be submitted within 48 hours of the incident
- Must be for a minimum of 7 days and cannot be backdated

Cancellations
Best for families who no longer wish to continue the program.
Swimming is a lifelong safety skill, and consistent participation ensures long-term progress and confidence. When families pause lessons instead of cancelling, students return stronger and with better continuity — which is why suspension is often the preferred option.
