Whether you’ve already booked your space or still researching, our handy event planning guide will help answer your questions around logistics of holding an event at PHIVE.

Who can hire the event spaces?

PHIVE welcomes bookings from community groups, corporations, event organisers, creatives, businesses, individuals, students and the like. Special rates are available for community groups and Not-For-Profit organisations.

Catering

Flexible Open Catering

PHIVE and Parramatta Town Hall's open catering policy provides flexibility to venue hirers, giving them the option to utilise their preferred Gold Licensed caterer or choose our onsite caterer, Publique Eatery.

This flexibility allows you to curate your perfect menu and cuisine within your budget and accommodate guests with specific dietary requirements, ensuring your event is tailored to your specific needs.

Audio Visual & Equipment

Cutting-Edge Audio-Visual Technology

Each space in PHIVE is beautifully appointed with contemporary, comfortable furnishings and customisable, state-of-the-art audio-visual technology.

Complete with video-conferencing technology, high-speed WiFi, air conditioning, environmentally friendly LED lighting and the option to hire more tech as required we have everything you need for a seamless and successful event.

Plus, a full-time tech officer is available to ensure everything runs smoothly so you can focus on your event.

Meeting Room Access - booking times

When making a booking, please ensure you have allocated enough time in your booking to set-up prior to your guests arriving, and enough time to pack-down before your booking ends. Access to your venue space begins at the start time of your booking.

Accessibility

PHIVE is committed to providing universal access to all members of our community, including those with disabilities. All public spaces within PHIVE are accessible.

Access

• All public entrances to PHIVE are wheelchair accessible.
• All levels of PHIVE are wheelchair accessible by internal lifts or ramps.
• Accessible toilets are available on all floors.
• If you require assistance within PHIVE, please contact any of our uniformed friendly Customer Service team members located on the ground floor and throughout the building.

Accessible adult changing facility

• An accessible Adult Changing facility is available on the basement mezzanine level. This can be accessed via the lift from the ground floor.

Parent & carers facilities

• A Parents Room with fully accessible baby changing facilities is located near the Children’s Library on Level 1.
• Prams are permitted on all floors of PHIVE.
• Pram parking is available near the Children’s Library on Level One.

Assistance animals

• We welcome guide dogs, hearing dogs and trained assistance dogs.

Hearing augmentation

• PHIVE features a WiFi hearing augmentation system, allowing visitors to connect to audio zones within the building via an app on their smart device. This app can be downloaded for free on our Public WiFi service. Once connected visitors will be able to hear the display audio in rooms featuring a QR code. This service is available in enabled meeting rooms, our Discovery Space, Library Amphitheatre, Library TV, Library Children’s Room and Council Chambers.
• For visitors without a smart device, a limited number are available for loan from the customer service desk.
   

Rest and refreshments

• PHIVE offers various places to sit and rest throughout the venue.
• Publique Eatery offers dine-in, grab-and-go and click-and-collect options, located on the ground floor of PHIVE.

Sustainability

PHIVE is a 21st-century smart building.

Its cutting-edge design and construction have been awarded a 6 Star Green Star rating as certified by the Green Building Council of Australia.

Some of PHIVE’s smart features include:

• Gearless lifts with regenerative drives.
• Dual water systems for non-drinking water uses (i.e. flushing and irrigation) to facilitate future connection to a recycled water network.
• LED lighting, minimal use of PVC, and an automated library book-sorting machine.
• Self-checkout kiosks and self-return library shelves.
• Smart furniture with in-built power and data charging points for visitors.

PHIVE offers over 20 spaces for hire with competitive pricing options. We offer special rates weekday bookings, offers for community groups and Not-for-Profit organisations.

Transport and Parking

PHIVE is easily accessible by car, taxi, bus, train, RiverCat, bike, or on foot.

Parking

• Parramatta's new Car Park is open 24 hours a day with entry from the corner of Smith and Darcy streets.
• Parramatta Station Car Park is open 24 hours and is located at 17 Wentworth Street. This car park is the largest and closest one to Parramatta Square,
  approximately a 5-minute walk to PHIVE.
• Limited metered street parking is available around Parramatta’s CBD.

Taxi

• A taxi rank is located near Parramatta Railway Station on Fitzwilliam Street, between Fire Horse Lane and Wentworth Street, Parramatta. It is approximately 500 metres from PHIVE.

Public Transport

• Approximately 200 metres from Parramatta Train Station
• Less than 300 metres from the Parramatta Bus Interchange.
• A 10-minute walk from Parramatta RiverCat Ferry Wharf

Deliveries

Deliveries to PHIVE are only permitted via the Loading Dock at the shared Parramatta Square basement complex, located at 2 Civic Place, Parramatta.

For event planners, venue hirers and caterers, PHIVE's dedicated area can be accessed via the entry and exit point located at the corner of Darcy Street and Smith
Street (adjacent to the Sydney Water building).

Nearby Accommodation

PHIVE is surrounded by an array of quality accommodation options all within a 10-minute walk from PHIVE, including Meriton Suites, Novotel Parramatta, Park Royal
Parramatta, SKYE Suites and Rydges Parramatta.

Nearby Restaurants and Retail
