About
Weave Parramatta is a bi-monthly (six workshops a year) fibre and textile skill-sharing workshop led by a guest artist and/or community leader. Weave aims to platform makers from the Parramatta community alongside contemporary artists, bringing together diverse skills and room for experimentation. The workshops are organised and curated by Kiri Morcombe and in 2021, PAS established a Weave Curatorium to provide advice on the selection of workshops for the program.
Anyone can attend a Weave workshop. Weave has been running since 2010 and has some enthusiastic regulars from local First Nations, Pacific Islander, Iranian and Chinese communities. Anyone with an interest in playing around with weaving, fibres and textiles can join and you’re welcome to bring along friends and family.
The Weave workshops are held in the Programs Space at PAS Granville.
