Community Grants Program

Annual Community Grants Program

The 2025 Annual Community Grants - Community Grants Round will open on Monday, 1st July 2024, 6AM and close on Monday, 26th August 2024, 11.59PM.

 

The 2025 Annual Community Grants program has expanded and will now be offered over two rounds, with the total pool of funding available increased to $725,000. 

The 2025 Annual Community Grants program will be offered over two rounds:

i. a Community Round, running from July to December 2024, and
ii. a Cultural Round, running from January to June 2025.

Other changes to the 2025 Annual Community Grants program include: 

  • Introduction of two new grant categories – Heritage Activation Grant and Night Time Creative Economy Grant
  • Increase in the funding cap for the Community Capacity Building grants from $10,000 to $12,500 to better enable community organisations to run effective projects
  • CPI-related increase to the Community Grants program funding pool
  • Name change to the History, Culture and Stories Fund (formerly Cultural Heritage and History Projects Fund)

The Community Round

 

The Community Round will open on Monday 1st July 2024 and close at 11.59pm Monday 26th August.

The Community Round will focus on funding community projects by not-for-profits, community organisations and social enterprises and includes the grant categories:

a. Community Capacity Building grants
b. Growing Social Enterprise in Parramatta grants
c. Community Event grants (Round 1)

We will be hosting a number of information sessions on the grants available in the Community Round. DATES AVAILABLE SOON.

If you are interested in applying in the 2025 Community Grant Round, we encourage you to please register and attend one of these sessions. Our team will be facilitating these information sessions with tips on how to write your application form and answer any questions you may have.
 

The Cultural Round

 

The Community Round will open in January 2025 (dates TBC). 

The Community Round will focus on funding local organisations, businesses and creatives to run projects, programs and events to promote heritage and cultural activations across the LGA and includes the grant categories:

a. Creative Projects grant
b. History, Culture and Stories Fund
c. Parramatta Artist Studios Creative Fellowship
d. Community Event grants (Round 2)
e. Heritage Activation grant (New Category)
f. Night Time Creative Economy Grant (New Category)

Developing a work plan or timeline is an excellent way to achieve a successful project as it records the major milestones for the project and who is responsible for completing them.

Providing such information is a good way to show that your project is well planned and ready to go.

To assist you in this process, we have developed a basic sample project plan and work plan for you to use in the planning and implementation process
