Compostable Liners: How-to
You will have received a FOGO ‘starter pack’ which includes one FOGO kitchen caddy and six months’ supply of Council supplied compostable liners. Residents will receive additional liners delivered to their home twice a year.
Residents can collect additional compostable liners for free from the locations below. You will be asked to show proof of address when picking up additional liner packs.
We recommend picking up compostable liner packs as and when needed as the liners can degrade when stored for long periods of time. Compostable liners should be stored in a cool, dry place.
How to Use Your Caddy Liners Responsibly
Your bin liners are meant to last 3 months, with 1 pack of 50 liners each. Let’s make the most of them!
- 1-2 liners per week - Using just 1-2 liners weekly helps your supply last.
- Only for FOGO waste - These liners are for food and green waste only – avoid using them for general rubbish.
- Take extra only when needed - Collecting liners early reduces availability for others. Let’s work together to keep FOGO running smoothly.
Thank you for helping the City of Parramatta stay clean and sustainable by using your caddy liners thoughtfully!
Compostable liners that meet Australian Standard AS4736 with the seedling logo can also be purchased and used in your caddy.
