To help you take the hassle out of keeping your lawn maintained, City of Parramatta provides subsidised lawn services for residents via the Commonwealth Home Support Program funding, accessible via the My Aged Care website or by calling 1800 200 422. Eligibility is for residents over the age of 65 in the Local Government Area (LGA) or Over 50 for Aboriginal and or Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Under the program basic lawn mowing and gardening can be requested through a contractor and paid for using the subsidy.
Jobs covered
This includes any job which can be completed safely without the use of ladders or scaffolding.
Jobs not covered
It doesn't include jobs that require tree removal, stump grinding, chemical use or the use of high powered equipment such as chainsaws.
We also offer a panel of contractors you can choose from who are pre-screened by us.
Subsidies
Subsidies are for $30 per job and customers pay the difference between the agreed price and the subsidised amount. Eligible customers are entitled to 10 subsidies per financial year.
